Maison Manere

Method Overview:

Every business we take on is measured before it is touched and measured again at month three. The stages below exist in the order that changes whether someone comes back, not the order that is easiest to sell.

Most common ways your client retention is leaking

The silence after

She booked, attended, paid and left. Nothing arrived that evening, nothing arrived that week, and the most expensive fortnight in the business passed without a single message.

The course that stops at three

She bought eight sessions and completed three. The revenue was recognised on day one, so nobody noticed the five that never happened.

The consultation that ends politely

She sat down, heard the price, said she would think about it, and walked out. There is no system that assumes she might still say yes.

The till that asks nothing

She paid and left without a date in the diary. Rebooking at the counter is the cheapest retention there is and almost nobody does it.

None of this is a product problem. It is a design problem.

The Work

01 / 05

01 Week one

The Visit

We attend as a paying customer before we ever speak to you.

We book, we sit in the room, we pay, and then we wait to see whether anything arrives. Most of what we find happens after you think the job is done.

01 — The Visit

02 Week one

The Diagnosis

The call. The leak named in full, the fix withheld.

We tell you what happened to us, in order, and what it cost you. There is no charge for this part.

02 — The Diagnosis

03 Weeks one to two

The Audit

The paid map of every point between first search and last message.

It ends with the Baseline: five measures taken before anything changes, so there is something to be held to.

03 — The Audit

04 Weeks two to twelve

The Build

Positioning first, then the journey, in the order that changes returns.

The ad, the page, the booking, the room, the till, and everything after it.

04 — The Build

05 Month three

The Return

The same measures, taken again. This is the report.

Not impressions, not clicks. How many came back. If the baseline has not moved, months four and five are free.

05 — The Return

The guarantee

If the baseline has not moved by month three, months four and five are free.

Most houses cannot offer this because most houses never measured anything at the start. We take the numbers before we touch the business, so there is something to be held to. The guarantee is not a sales device. It is what measurement makes possible.

The Terms

The audit is £750 and takes two weeks. If the work follows, it comes off the first month. The retainer is scoped to the business and quoted on the call.

Three months. Retention cannot be seen in less — a ninety-day repeat rate needs ninety days, a course of eight sessions runs across two to three months, and an ad account spends its first three weeks learning. A shorter engagement produces a report with nothing in it.

There isn’t one. There is a guarantee instead. Free work attracts people who will not pay, and produces evidence too early to mean anything.

One business per customer catchment, held for as long as the retainer is active. If yours is taken we will say so, and we will tell you when it changes.

Sites, booking systems and ad accounts are line items inside the work, priced separately, and only when the retainer calls for them. None of them is ever the engagement.

Months four and five are free. If they still have not moved after that, the fault is ours and we will say so.

Not at present. The house is built on one vertical because the leaks repeat, and that is what makes each engagement faster than the last.
